Selling in 10 languages: how NexusShop translates the catalog and how much it costs

Translation credit, upfront price estimate, manual edit protection, and SEO for every language. How to open a new market in one afternoon.

Opening a new market used to be a months-long project: catalog translation, new URLs, sitemaps, currencies. With NexusShop, it's a few clicks and an afternoon to review.

How the translation is done

  1. In the language settings, you add a language, for example German.
  2. The system will go through products, categories, and pages and show how many characters need to be translated and how much it will cost in translation credits.
  3. You start the translation. It runs in the background, you can continue working.
  4. Texts that you edit manually will not be overwritten during the next translation. When changing the Slovak source, only the changed text will be translated.

How much does it cost?

Translation is charged by the number of characters via translation credit, which you top up in advance. You can see the price before each launch. A catalog with a thousand products and common descriptions will cost units of euros per language.

SEO for every language

Each language version has its own URL, hreflang, sitemap, and meta data. Search engines know which version to show to whom without any additional setup.

Currencies, taxes and transportation

You can set prices in another currency with exchange rate, VAT by delivery country, and transport zones in localization. We recommend starting with the countries you already deliver to.
