How to start selling via Facebook Live in one afternoon
From setting up a store to your first broadcast with automatic orders. A specific procedure, what to prepare and what to avoid for your first live.
How the system handles the onslaught of comments during a large live event without duplication and without losing the order. And what we improved after the incident in September.
During large broadcasts, more comments arrive per minute than a single process can handle. Turbo Automat therefore runs as a group of parallel workers that split the comments.
A guard runs over the broadcast, checking every minute to make sure the workers are running, that they are watching the correct video, and that no customers are stuck. If something is wrong, he or she will fix it or warn you.
After an incident at one of the large stores at the end of September, where some comments remained unprocessed, we fixed three things: displaying the status of the machine in the administration, protecting against a "lost" employee, and releasing customers who were stuck in processing. The fixes are deployed in all stores.
If you're broadcasting to thousands of people, write to us. We'll adjust the number of workers based on your volume.

Facebook gives you reach, but it keeps the customer. Live on your own website gives you a cart, data, and a listing that you resell.
